About the show
Four Weddings offers a ringside seat for the planning, preparation and big day itself as each week we follow the journey of four fiancées as they hurtle towards what should be the happiest day of their lives.
But here, each bride-to-be is involved in a competition and
while one contestant is getting hitched, the other three guest
brides must cast judgement and secretly score each special
day.
Everything must be taken into consideration, from the service and
food, to the entertainment and even the groom. The bride with the
highest score at the end of each episode wins the ultimate
prize
a five star dream honeymoon.
The variety of weddings is extraordinary, ranging from a 100,000 pound extravaganza which emerges as a dazzling society event, to a pagan ceremony that takes place in a field.
The brides are also completely different, from uptight control freaks, laid back romantics and quirky individualists all vying for the ultimate honeymoon.
The fun begins when the quartet of fiancées meet in a
glitzy cocktail bar. As they sip their drinks they assess their
rivals and after the party the brides offer candid views on the
other planned weddings.
They get to see if their opinions were right when they attend the
actual ceremonies and viewers are privy to their private
thoughts.
From whispered jibes about the age of the groom to barely
concealed dress-envy, its an enlightening and often hilarious
process! After the scoring is complete there can be only one
triumphant bride.
But which one?
A limousine with tinted windows arrives and the groom of the successful wife is inside. As the door opens, will it be the door into disappointment or the holiday of a lifetime?
