The TAB, not surprisingly, has New Zealand at the bottom of its odds for the soccer World Cup despite the All Whites earning a favourable draw.

They are rank outsiders, paying $1000 to win the tournament after being placed in group F in Saturday's draw.

The group's top seeds Italy are fifth-equal favourites at $13, while Paraguay is at $60 and Slovakia $200.

Spain and Brazil share TAB favouritism at $5.50, despite Brazil drawing a very tough group with Portugal and Cote d'Ivoire.

British bookmakers William Hill had Spain at odds of 4-1, or paying $5, to lift the trophy, with England second best at 5-1 after Fabio Capello's side were handed a favourable draw.

William Hill had New Zealand at 1000-1 but did not make them rank outsiders. That fell to North Korea at 2000-1 following their tough draw in Brazil's group.

They had New Zealand at outside odds of 33-1 to win group F, behind Italy (4-9 or $1.44), Paraguay ($3.40) and Slovakia ($9).

William Hill rated Spanish strikers Fernando Torres and David Villa equal 9-1 favourites to be the tournament's top goalscorer.

TAB odds to win the World Cup: $5.50 Spain, Brazil; $7 England; $10 Argentina; $13 Germany, Italy, Netherlands; $15 France; $22 Portugal; $25 Cote d'Ivoire; $50 Chile; $60 Cameroon, Mexico, Paraguay, Serbia, United States; $80 Nigeria; $100 Australia, Denmark, Greece, South Africa, Uruguay; $200 Japan, Switzerland, Slovakia; $250 South Korea, Slovenia; $300 Algeria; $500 North Korea, Honduras; $1000 New Zealand.
