Red alert as Villa back on market

Liverpool and Manchester United are on red alert after it was reported Spanish striker David Villa has fired his agent after failing to net him a summer transfer switch.

Valencia and Spain star Villa was also linked with a 30 million pound move to Barcelona and big-spending Real Madrid but talks between cash-strapped Valencia and Real broke down in the latter stages.

It is now being reported that the Spain hitman has lost patience with his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, and with Valencia drowning in debt they may be forced to sell their goalscoring star if the price is right in the January transfer window.
