Pavlovic and Phoenix part ways

Published: 11:45AM Wednesday November 14, 2012 Source: ONE Sport

Mirjan Pavlovic's contract with the Phoenix has been terminated by mutual consent, the Wellington club announced today.

Mirjan made 25 appearances for the Phoenix after joining the club in season 2010-11 from the Newcastle Jets.

Pavlovic's future has been under a cloud after the Phoenix advised last week via a statement that the Australian-Croatian born striker suffers from a medical condition that impacts on his ability to play professional football.

The 23-year-old was loaned out to New South Wales premier league outfit Sydney FC after completing his two year stint in Wellington.

During his time in the nation's capital Pavlovic scored two goals, both coming in the one game against the Jets last December.
