Nelsen in doubt for World Cup qualifier

A back problem is threatening to keep Ryan Nelsen out of the All Whites for the World Cup clash with Bahrain

All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen faces a battle to be fit for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Bahrain in Manama.

Nelsen missed Blackburn's 6-2 drubbing by Arsenal in the English Premier League on Monday morning with a back problem suffered against Aston Villa last week. With the All Whites assembling in Dubai on Tuesday, there must be some doubt over Nelsen's participation in the crucial match.

The locally based All Whites head to Dubai tonight where the side will be based until the eve of the game.
