All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen is under an injury cloud just a week out from the national sides crucial World Cup qualifier against Bahrain in Manama.

Nelsen is due to undergo have a fitness test on Saturday night on a back problem sustained in the Premier League last weekend.

The Blackburn skipper, an influential part of the All Whites defence, is also in doubt for the sides clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Monday morning (NZT).
