All Whites football coach Ricki Herbert is wary of talk Bahrain has lost some of its attacking power with an injury to a key player.

Leading goal scorer Ala'a Hubail has ruptured knee ligaments and been ruled out of next month's World Cup qualifier second leg in Wellington.

Herbert points out Hubail didn't even start the first leg and he doesn't expect Bahrain to change their tactics much for the fixture as a result.

He says at the moment they still have their first string side and the main priority is ensuring the All Whites have theirs too.

New Zealand Football is still considering ways to increase the capacity of Westpac Stadium for the November 14 game.

FIFA has rejected a request to add 3000 temporary pitch side seats on security grounds but CEO Michael Glading says they're hoping to add a few extra seats in the tunnels.

Glading says they hope to have that finalised by Thursday.
