All Whites fans have the chance to literally be a part of this year's Football World Cup campaign with the Goodwill Ball Tour travelling around New Zealand.

The Goodwill Ball Tour involves two giant inflatable footballs that will tour around the country giving fans a chance to sign them with messages of support.

Once the tour is over, the balls will be sent to South Africa to link up with other balls representing every nation competing in South Africa.

The Goodwill Balls will also feature on the pitch before All Whites matches to show the support from their home country.

All Whites defender Ivan Vicelich was in Auckland on Wednesday to join TVNZ's Breakfast show along with one of the balls.

Vicelich said it is an exciting time for football in New Zealand and it's great to see the amount of support surrounding them.

"There's a total buzz in New Zealand about football at the moment and we can feel it right through every player," Vicelich told tvnz.co.nz.

"With people coming up to sign this ball and having the ball go right through the country is a great show of support for the New Zealand football team.

"It's a great step for New Zealand to be at the World Cup and that's the most important thing. The only thing we can do is give 110 percent."

The Goodwill Balls will travel to 22 Hyundai dealership locations in total where each dealer will host an event and provide an opportunity for fans to sign the ball.

Invites will be sent to local football clubs, sporting people, celebrities, customers, media and special guests, while everyone is encouraged to come along and join in.

On May 8 the balls will come together in Wellington to be sent off to South Africa.
