Unfashionable Premier League side Fulham knocked Juventus out of the Europa League after an astoninshing 4-1 win over the Italians who finished the second leg game with nine men at Craven Cottage on Friday.
It was the second time this season Juve have gone out of European competition with a 4-1 defeat after they lost at home to Bayern Munich in their final Champions League group match.
David Trezeguet gave Juventus a second minute lead at Fulham, adding to their 3-1 advantage from the first leg, but Bobby Zamora levelled seven minutes later and the visitors then had Fabio Cannavaro sent off in the 27th minute.
Zoltan Gera scored either side of halftime, the second a penalty, and Clint Dempsey grabbed the decisive goal with seven minutes left to send the Londoners into their first European quarter-final.
The Italians had Jonathan Zebina sent off in the last minute.
There was also drama in Germany where David Villa scored a hat-trick to help Valencia hold Werder Bremen to a 4-4 draw which sent them through on away goals after the tie ended 5-5 on aggregate.
Valencia led 3-1 and 4-3 as they held on for a quarter-final place.
