United boss Alex Ferguson has been accused of leading a gang of Premier League bosses who bully Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
The controversial claim was made by Wigan boss Roberto Martinez who also insisted the FA are terrified of the Scots power in the Premier League.
"Ferguson has his group of loyalists among other coaches - Steve Bruce, his ex-player, and Sam Allardyce, who thinks he will be his successor, among others." Spaniard Martinez is quoted as saying to British newspaper The Sun.
"On the other hand, there is only Benitez and they throw sticks at him from all sides."
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is himself no stranger to controversy after causing a storm last season by going on a very public rant during a Liverpool press conference where he accused Ferguson of getting away with too much.
And Martinez is quoted as saying he believes Benitez' criticism of Fergie, who is currently undergoing an FA investigation over comments he made about ref Alan Wiley, are on the mark.
But although the Wiley controversy refused to go away, Martinez believes Fergie will receive no more than a slap on the wrist.
"They have just sanctioned Ferguson for saying that referee was not fit enough and the truth is that they're almost apologising to him for punishing him," Martínez told Spanish paper AS
"Any other coach would have been crushed for that."
And when asked if Ferguson dictates English football, Martínez: "Yes, a lot."
"Ferguson has been here for a lifetime and that carries a lot of
weight."
