England will play Mexico and Japan in May in their final World Cup warm-up games, the FA said on Thursday.

England, who face Egypt in a Wembley friendly on Wednesday, will play Mexico at Wembley on a date to be confirmed at the end of May. They will then play Japan in Graz, Austria on May 30.

On May 16, the day after The FA Cup Final, manager Fabio Capello will announce a squad for his pre-World Cup training camp in Austria, the FA announced on their website (www.thefa.com).

Capello will name his World Cup squad of 23 on June 1 and they will depart for South Africa on June 3.

England face the United States, Algeria and Slovenia in the World Cup and Capello said this week that he had arranged the friendlies against Egypt and Mexico to gain experience of playing against "geographically similar" opponents.
