Liverpool star Yossi Benayoun has insisted he is happy at Anfield despite reported interest from cashed-up Manchester City.

Israeli midfielder Benayoun has been lined with a January transfer move to Eastlands, with his agent, Ronen Katsav admitting clubs are lining up to land the former West Ham player.

But despite the increased speculation about the 29-years-olds future, Katsav has denied Benayoun, who joined the Reds in 2007, will be leaving Liverpool any time soon.

"Naturally a player playing well at Liverpool will always have other teams interested in him. He said:

"It is a great compliment that there is interest from high level teams across Europe.

"But Yossi is very happy at Liverpool and only in the summer agreed a new four-year contract."
