Style blog: Sera Lilly
By TVNZ stylists Michiko Hylands and Clifton Piper
The show started with a behind the scenes short film clip that helped build up the excitement and high drama of a catwalk show.
The show proved to be very eclectic with references from all
The Winter 2011 collection is called "The Sisters of San Salvador"
Naturally, there were obvious South American references in the pieces with lots of chunky woven fabrics, Aztec-esque knits and giant ponchos in muted tones.
The Spanish influence was also strong with flamenco-tiered dresses and Spanish lace mantillas.
A bohemian feel was noted in a mixture of chunky shrunken
knitted jumpers or faux-fur shrugs worn over girly, floral printed
The muted tones had a shot of bold colour with a few coral pieces thrown into the collection
Sera Lilly excels in her signature look: that of the maxi dress and they were lots to choose from. Sera also does a very well received bridal and special occasion range that was also included in the show.
Style Blog's stand out piece was the pale mauve coloured maxi
dress with the amazing cut out back, divine!
