Deborah Sweeney: Return of stonewashed denim
Have you been longing for the days of stonewashed denim splashed with animal prints?
Never fear, as Deborah Sweeney's new range harks back to a day where denim paired with slouch boots was the ultimate in fashionable attire. To be fair, Sweeney's range isn't all '80s. Alongside the stonewashed denim are feminine dresses with large bows, a ra-ra wedding dress, Asian print handbags and wintry jackets.
If I'm going to be entirely honest, a flier I found in the media centre helped jog my memory of Sweeney's show. I didn't find the range particularly memorable - this wasn't helped by the extremely thorough ushers, who removed any trace of goodie bag (and by extension, brochures) from the general admission seats. I'll happily bypass the peppermints and body wash for information on the show.
Hopefully Alan will have more luck at Lucie Boshier...
