People magazine is reporting that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split.
Witherspoon, 33, and Gyllenhaal, 28, co-starred in the 2007 movie Rendition, after which rumours began to circulate about them as an off-screen couple.
The rumours were confirmed by the summer of 2008 when the couple were seen together at an extended Bastille Day holiday in Paris. The following month, they were spotted strolling hand-in-hand in Marrakech.
The Rendition actress has two children; nine-year-old daughter Ava and and son Deacon, six, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
No reason has been given for her latest break-up.
