Thousands of concert-goers are disappointed at the cancellation of the B52s concert in Martinborough.
The 70s new wave rockers were set to headline Saturday evening at Alana Estate Winery.
They were to be supported by the Proclaimers and the Pink Flamingos.
Concert-goer Holly Bennett says fans had been waiting for about two hours before they were told the concert was cancelled.
"Everyone's pretty disappointed," she says.
Promoters Roundhouse Entertainment say persistent strong winds made conditions unsafe to stage the concert.
They say all patrons will get a full refund.
Sunday's Villa Maria Estate concert is going ahead as planned.
