Major US retailer Wal-Mart plans to launch a fashion line with teen superstar Miley Cyrus.
The retailer is linking itself to a top teenage pop star at about the time back-to-school shopping begins in the United States.
Cyrus, the star of the hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, will team with designer Max Azria, of BCBGMAXAZRIA, to create a line of budget-friendly items.
The line is expected to include graphic tees, tops, pants, shoes and accessories, and to be priced until $US20 ($1).
The pop star has sucessfully crossed over from the Disney channel and Hannah Montana concerts, DVDs and music to enter the mainstream pop music industry worldwide.
Her first non-Hannah album, entitled Breakout, debuted in July 2008 at number one on the US charts and has had top ten singles.
The 16 year-old was born Destiny Hope Cyrus and is the daughter of country singer Billy-Ray Cyrus, who had a major pop hit in 1992 with the single Achy Breaky Heart.
