Tyra Banks touched down briefly in Auckland on Friday morning before jetting out to Queenstown.
Fans would have been hard pressed to catch a glimpse of the
glamorous star though as Banks' sizeable entourage went
to great lengths to keep celebrity spotters and media cameras at
Production staff jostled with cameramen while deploying umbrellas and holding up pieces for card to prevent prying eyes stealing a look at Banks at Auckland Airport.
The former supermodel turned talk show host is in New Zealand filming for the new season of America's Next Top Model.
Banks had previously tweeted that several episodes of the show were being filmed here.
Banks will join new show judge, American Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley, and former supermodel Kimora Lee Simmons, who is appearing as a guest judge.
Filming began last week, in locations around the country and Tourism New Zealand spokeswoman Cas Carter told NZPA the agency had been involved with location-scouting for "months and months".
However, Carter was unable to say exactly where filming would take place due to a confidentiality agreement.
