Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twins via a surrogate, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Entertainment Weekly website says the actors' representatives made the announcement in a statement.

"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this [year] with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed."

Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, already have a six-year-old son, James Wilkie.
