Twilight star Kristen Stewart has admitted that she feels boring because all anyone ever wants to talk to her about is Twilight.
The revelation came in an interview with actor Dennis Hopper, who was admitted to a New York hospital on Thursday before being released on Friday, for Interview magazine.
The two spoke about the pressures that came with the success of Twilight and Hopper sympathised that Stewart "must be going through a lot right now... You must have no peace at all."
Stewart confessed that Twilight was all anyone ever wanted to talk to her about.
"The sad thing is that I feel so boring because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins. Whether it's someone I'm meeting for the first time or someone I just haven't seen in a while."
When Hopper asked how Stewart maintains her privacy in the face of frenzied tabloid interest she admitted that she struggled to strike a balance between her public and private personas.
"I don't leave my hotel room. Literally, I don't. I don't talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it's really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself," said Stewart.
"That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn't go out at all.
Stewart joins Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson in
finding the sudden rise to fame increasingly difficult to cope
with, Pattinson confessed he came close to
"losing it" earlier this year.
Pattinson said: "I was getting really paranoid. But then I realised
that if tomorrow I say, 'OK, I've had enough we're stopping
everything,' it won't change anything.
"Might as well try to accept it and stay Zen as I have no control
over it. It's not always easy. But whining won't change
anything."
However, Stewart is also concerned about the perception people
might have of her when she does venture out in public saying "Some
nights, I think, 'You know what? I don't care. I'm just going to do
what I want to do.' Then the next day I think, 'Ugh. Now everyone
thinks I'm going out to get the attention.' "
"But it's like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person."
Hopper had begun the telephone interview by asking asking Stewart to say "hello" to his six-year-old daughter, Galen, before asking her how she was feeling.
"I'm pretty good. I'm not very good at interviews, but this is a trip," said Stewart before gushing "Why in God's name did you want to do this? You have no idea how cool this is for me."
Hopper admitted that he didn't normally conduct interviews but that he'd made an exception because he admired Stewart's work and his daughter was a big fan.
