COMMENT ON THE NEWS ON OUR MESSAGEBOARD!

Hold the front page, Twihards.

It's the news no New Moon fan wants - the production of the latest film has been shut down.

It was due to hit New Zealand cinemas on November 19th, 2009 but something bigger than the love between Bella and Edward has sidelined the latest in the saga.

Filming had been underway on the sequel to the massively popular Twilight  - with the news Dakota Fanning's been cast as Jane, Frost/Nixon's Michael Sheen's been added as Aro and of course the fact Robert Pattinson had broken his bum on set - but it's now been revealed that's been halted - because of a plagiarism claim.

Showbiz website Digital Spy's reporting the lawsuit filed by a former college roommate of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is responsible for the sequel suddenly hitting the skids.

According to the site, the thrust of the lawsuit is that "Heidi Stanton, who studied with the author at Brigham Young University in Utah, has alleged that a short story she wrote during their college years had a similar plot to Twilight."

There's no word yet from Hoyts Distributors in New Zealand about the news.

We'll bring you more on this story which is likely to upset many fans of the vamp franchise as soon as we get it.

BREAKING NEWS- This statement is just in from Hoyts Distribution New Zealand on behalf of Summit Entertainment, the studio behind Twilight - and it reads as follows: "This rumor is certainly NOT true. Please let your readers know.

So there you go - a very late April Fools' joke perhaps?

Still, comment on our Twilight Messageboard!

I am a Twilight Addict for sure! I am Team Jakeward all the way, lol. I reckon Eclipse should be the best version of all for movies... but the books kick butt much more! But if you've read the books, I don't think it matters at all whether this one will live up to expectations, cause the stories have already captured our hearts!

Well what can I say, I am a total Twilight addict! I love the two films so far- but love the books a whole lot more! They NEED to make Breaking Dawn into 2 films. There are just sooo many amazing parts to it that so many [important] things will end up getting missed out! It is kinda essential that it's made into two films! Please, make two films!

I ahve to say that Jacob is who I would go with because of his looks but he hasn't got the personality that Edward has. If I were Bella and Jacob had the personality of Edward you would have the best guy in the world!!
