ONE News presenter Simon Dallow and Breakfast's Tamati Coffey
are in the running for sexiest man of the year, joining Shortland
Street co-stars and brothers Pua and Robbie Magasiva.
Two of TVNZ's most well-known blondes Alison Pugh and Toni Street
have also been nominated for sexiest woman of the year.
TV watchers can determine who ends up on top by voting for their favourite TV personalities and shows in 24 categories.
TV Guide Editor Julie Eley says it will be an exciting contest and is keen to see how the awards play out, with the Sexiest Man category tipped to be a hotly-contested race. Also nominated are Jeremy Corbett and Jay Ryan.
"We have been running the awards for more than 10 years but this is the first time two siblings have been nominated and within the same category," says Eley.
"This year's awards could very well end up as a showdown between the handsome and talented Magasiva brothers. But with two nominations to their names each, Tamati, Jeremy, Simon and Jay will pose stiff competition".
TVNZ's daily current affairs shows ONE News and Tonight also feature in the Best News Category while Sunday, Close Up and 20/20 are nominated for best current affairs.
Voting forms will be published in the February 9 and 16 issues of TV Guide or you can vote online here .
Voting closes on March 2 at 5pm with winners announced in the March 15 issue of TV Guide.
