  Kidzone 24 will feature popular shows like Kidzone with Kayne - Source: TVNZ

TVNZ is launching a new 24 hour children's channel on Sky TV.

TVNZ Kidzone 24 will launch on May 1 with the aim of providing educational and inspiring content for pre-school children.

The channel will be advert-free and will build on the popularity of the Kidzone segment which currently features on TVNZ 7 between 6am and 8am.

The schedule for the new channel will be revealed in April, but the line-up will include existing favourites like Kidzone with Kayne, and new shows focussed on learning.
