Teenage singer Taylor Swift, who recently completed filming her first movie, Valentine's Day - has caught the eye of bosses on the hit US drama series The Vampire Diaries, who say they would kill to get her playing an undead creature.

Developer Kevin Williamson says "I'm desperate to have Taylor come play a vampire."

"Wouldn't she make an amazing Kristen Dunst circa 'Interview with the Vampire' type? I cannot tell you how hard I'm trying to get her - I would kill to have her on the show."

Despite his determination, Williamson believes Swift, who was honoured with four prizes at the Country Music Awards (CMAs) this week, would turn down the role.

He added to E! News: "She's too big for Vampire Diaries now."

Swift is currently rumoured to be dating her Valentine's Day'co-star Taylor Lautner, who plays warewolf Jacob Black in hit vampire movie franchise The Twilight Saga and recently begged movie bosses to give them a private screening of their new film.

She says: "I haven't seen Valentine's Day at all. So hopefully we'll get to do a private screening because we both wanna see it so bad 'cause our scene was so much fun to do."
