Susan Boyle's cat Pebbles has moved out of their home.
The Wild Horses singer's much-loved moggy is now living in London with 76-year-old retired accountant Pamela Eaton-Browne because jet-setting Boyle is not at her house in West Lothian, Scotland, often enough to care for her properly.
Boyle's mentor Simon Cowell, who discovered Boyle on UK TV show Britain's Got Talent, arranged for the cat to be moved to Eaton-Browne's house on the recommendation of her neighbour Alex Kadis, who works for Boyle's management team and was told by the music mogul to find Pebbles a home.
Eaton-Browne told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "One day Simon said to my friend, 'Do you know anyone who will look after this cat, because Susan's flying all over the world and what can we do with the cat?'
"Anyway this friend said to me, 'We all know you like cats. Would you have Susan's cat for a couple of weeks. But I never expected to have her for this long."
But the move has affected Boyle and Pebbles' relationship as the fearful feline hid from her owner when the 48-year-old star - who has only seen 11-year-old Pebbles three times since July - went to visit the cat last week.
Eaton-Browne, who has two cats of her own, Truffles and Sapphire, said: "Susan was with my friend and the new PA but they made such a racket that Pebbles shot under the wardrobe and didn't want to know."
It seems Pebbles has acquired a taste for the high life like her international chart-topping owner.
Eaton-Browne, who is paid $9 a day to care for the cat, said: "She has little pouches of premium wet food in gravy for breakfast. She's always got a bowl of Royal Canin biscuits. At lunchtime she has chicken and at teatime she has steamed or poached fish."
Speaking about Eaton-Browne, a spokeswoman for Boyle said: "This lady has met Susan on a couple of occasions and she's looking after Pebbles at the moment for Susan."
