Scottish singer and internet sensation Susan Boyle remained at the top of the British pop charts for a second week on Sunday with her debut album I Dreamed A Dream.
The collection of songs from the 48-year-old church volunteer, who shot to fame on TV talent show Britain's Got Talent, has sold over 700,000 copies in just two weeks, the Official Charts Company said.
The album is already the third best-selling of the year after becoming the largest global CD pre-order in the 14-year history of Amazon.com.
Boyle, who has shed her once dowdy image for a smart makeover since April, when her TV talent audition went on to be viewed more than 300 million times over the internet.
Her CD sales kept at bay new releases from pop bands Westlife and Take That, who had to be content with second and third places.
Westlife notched up a twelfth top 10 album with "Where We Are", debuting at number two.
Take That entered the charts in third position with their live album The Greatest Day - The Circus Live.
In the singles chart comedian Peter Kay's Animated All Stars made it two weeks at number one with The Official BBC Children in Need Medley.
R&B singer Alicia Keys was a new entry at number eight with Doesn't Mean Anything.
American producer and rapper Timbaland was also new at nine with Morning After Dark, featuring Canadian singer Nelly Furtado.
