With the weather being so mercurial at the moment, with days like high summer followed by a cold wintery blasts, it seems mad to see all the shops parading intensely summery looks already.
However that's how the rag trade works - always way ahead of everything else.
Style Blog recently viewed a high summer collection by none other than the Warehouse and we were impressed by how this company seems to be going from strength to strength with the pieces they are putting out in their collections.
The Warehouse see themselves as New Zealand's more accessible and affordable chain store fashion label, aligning themselves as bigger players in the global chain market overseas (think H&M, Topshop, etc)
Cool catwalk looks and trends are available at very cheap and cheerful prices here - and that is something we always love! There are so many great looks we want to don this summer but who can really afford to be shelling out the big bucks these days for this?
We certainly aren't suggesting you go out and buy the whole collection, but a few of the "linen" pieces from the Rachel range may be nice for a day out at the beach.
Style Blog also spotted a black body-con dress which could look great layered with some of your designer pieces. It would look fantastic with one of the long capes from Cybele's winter 09/10 collection, a great look if you are channelling the spirit of Stevie Nicks. Tres dramatic! We also loved the little white canvas shoes. If you aren't paying $1000 for your chasseurs you might as well pay $10.
And if you want to have a bit more of a look around for cheap(er) and cheerful fashion, there is always Supre, Max, Glassons and Portmans.
But Style Blog were pleasantly surprised and very happy to find a few pieces of joy in the Warehouse Summer 2009/10 range. It really is a one-stop-shop for your recessionista "where everyone gets a bargain!" Ho ho ho!
