Winter is the perfect time to start protecting and nurturing your skin from all the harsh elements.

We often forget to look after our skin during winter. Now is the time to start sloughing off those dead skin cells and moisturise that body!

Nothing beats having radiant, polished skin and a beautiful, healthy mane of hair. Here are our top beauty saviours:

BODY

Body Exfoliators
Our favourite is Dermalogica's Exfoliating Body Scrub. It's perfect for using every day.

For a taste of a tropical island, try The Body Shop's Coconut Body Scrub. The coconut scent is divine.

If you're after luxury and decadence, Pure Fiji Coconut Milk & Honey Sugar Rub is a delicious scrub that will make your skin glow.

Aesop's Geranium Leaf Body Scrub is lovely and refreshing with a mixture of pumice and bamboo.

Body Moisturisers
We love Dermalogica's Body Hydrating Cream. It instantly relieves skin dryness.

Aveeno's Moisturising Cream - This moisturiser is great for those with itchy, extra- dry skin with a soothing oat-based formula.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter - A stalwart of body moisturisers, this moisturiser always delivers. You get soft, smooth skin in return.

Skin Saviours
Numero uno on our list is the incredible Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment. This amazing ointment relieves and cleanses cuts, wounds, chafing and all manner of skin ailments. It's also great for dry and cracked skin.

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is still a winner after all these years. This product is a godsend for chapped, cracked lips, peeling and flaking skin and sunburn.

Antipodes Saviour Skin Balm is like a first aid kit in a tin. The healing qualities of tea tree and totara oil mixed in with vimina grapes make its formula unique and hard to beat!

Hand Creams
Grown's Vanilla and Orange Peel Hand Cream smells divine and is also fab on dry elbows and knees.

Foot Creams
The Body Shop's Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue softens hard skin on the feet. It prevents ugly and painful cracked heels.

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream is another miracle product that should be used daily to treat dry, scaly "winter" feet.

Neutrogena Foot Cream is perfect for those on a budget. This is concentrated relief for dry and rough feet.

FACE

Face Exfoliators
The best by far is Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant. The rice-based powder formula is gentle enough to use everyday. We swear by it.

Origin's Modern Friction is another trusted and proven face scrub. Use sparingly 2 -3 times a week.

Face Moisturisers
Dermalogica's Active Moist is a wonderful oil-free lotion that works best on oily skins.

American brand Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is lovely! Explorers on Greenland used this product when they were mountaineering so you know it's gotta be good for you!

Lancome's Genefique Repair Youth Activating Night Cream actually seems to reduce the appearance of aging and makes your skin feel more resilient.

Face Masques
Shiseido's The Skincare Purifying Mask is a clay-based mask that refines the impurities of the skin.

Dermalogica's Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque is fantastic for dry or prematurely aging skin. It helps calm and relieve environmentally stressed skin.

HAIR

Hair Conditioner
Our favourite is Keratase Resistance's Ciment Thermique, a leave-in conditioner that works as a heat-activated reconstructor for weakened hair. Its scent reminds us of fresh pine leaves.

Hair Masques
Aesop's Rose Hair and Scalp Masque has a beautiful, old-fashioned rose scent. It's a saviour for coloured, tortured or salon-abused hair.

Keratase Nutri-Thermique Mask is a must-have for those of us with naturally dry hair. All those in the biz swear by it!

We hope we've inspired you to start nurturing that skin of yours because it's the only one you have! Be good to yourselves!

See you all next week!
