Summer holidays are getting closer and closer and we are getting really excited about idle days lazing at the beach, slothing out at the holiday bach or even just pottering around at home (a place we never really seem to spend much time at these days with our crazy schedules!)
This is what we are looking forward to...
1. The first port of call, the nail bar for that perfect pedicure! A lass needs a great pair of flat sandals that work with summer dresses and shorts. The gladiator theme is still going strong... Check out the nude, studded version at Decjuba.
2. A great hat which protects from nasty sunburn and looks good, too. Try out what suits you. Straw fedoras and big floppy hats are great options. Browns in Remuera have lots of cute versions starting from $45.
3. T-shirt dresses, especially soft, grey marle versions. Just throw it on and you're good to go. Moochi have some cool ones this season.
4. A great swimsuit that you feel great in. Go for simple shapes and get the right size. Check out Max and Hot Bodz.
5. Oversized t-shirts. Country Road is doing a couple of nice styles that feel luxurious on the body.
6. Harem pants in soft stretchy knits: the ultimate slouch-wear staple. Helen Cherry/ Workshop always include a great pair in their collections.
7. Loads of sun block and "apres" beach hair repair conditioning treatments. We love Dermalogica and Kerastase.
8. For parties and glam BBQs, extremely high strappy stilettos: Nude-toned ones work with just about anything and lengthen the leg - and we all want that! Try Mi Piaci or Andrea Biani for great, affordable styles.

10. A good cardy and/or a big scarf: Just like your nana always said: Always have a cardy with you so you don't catch a chill! And as we all know, New Zealand's weather is sooo changeable! Country Road are doing some lovely, soft scarves that look as great as they feel.
