Style Blog are so loving award season over in Hollywood and checking out what all the gorgeous stars are wearing to all the events.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) was held last Saturday and as per, it didn't fail to disappoint with some absolutely divine looks that rocked the red carpet.

Here are Style Blog's favourite looks:

Diane Kruger
Last week Style Blog weren't so sure about Diane's pink Christian Lacroix Haute Couture dress worn at the Golden Globes Awards, but we have actually changed our minds about it and agree that she looked beautiful in it after all.

Without a doubt though, Diane looked absolutely stunning at this year's SAGs in an amazing yellow dress by Jason Wu, topped off with fabulous Harry Winston jewellery.

The dress was more than a nod to what Michelle Williams wore to the Oscars back in 2006. The drapery on the dress was exquisite and the mermaid shape highlighted Diane's fabulous figure. Top marks, Diane!

Kate Hudson
Whoever is styling Kate these days is doing an amazing job. Kate looked incredible in a white sheath-like dress by Emilio Pucci set back with Cartier jewels. The look was right on the money - sophisticated, yet drop-dead sexy, with the plunging back feature. Breathtaking.

Christina Applegate
Christina looked an absolute vision. You'd never think she'd look so incredible, especially after her recent health problems. She looked simply luminous in beautifully sophisticated, pale grey chiffon dress by Roberto Cavalli.

Nicole Kidman
We liked Nicole's undone look with soft wavy hair and a bohemian gold Oscar de La Renta dress that really suited her. A good example of Boho done well - it was good hippy, not trippy!

Sandra Bullock
What an improvement from her Golden Globes '80s horror look! Sandra looked so much better in an amazing Alexander McQueen extremely fitting dress. We totally loved the shape of the dress, but does Sandra have the right amount of cool to pull it off, we ask?

Mariah Carey
Mariah also looked a thousand times better at the SAGs and actually looked sophisticated and divine in a racy red Valentino dress as opposed to her usual look: Slutty and tasteless!

Mo'Nique
This overtly voluptuous lass yet again looked gorgeous: Classy and beautiful in a muted toned dress by Badgley Mischka. She is an icon for larger lasses.

There were amazing colours on a lot of the lesser known celebrities as they sashayed down the red-carpet.

Carey Mulligan
Ingenue Carey wore an incredible orange Lanvin dress that really highlighted her peaches and cream complexion.

Lea Michele (from Glee)
Lea wore a vibrant teal coloured dress by Malandrino with a plunging neckline and looked stunning. We imagine our own gal, TVNZ's ever-gorgeous Renee Wright, would look incredible in this dress.

Anna Kendrick
Anna looked beautiful in a stunning crimson dress by Alberta Ferretti. Wow, what a colour, just gorgeous!

Colin Firth and Tom Ford
They provided the best looks done by men but hang on... is this a hot new gay couple?

Wow, they looked so cute together, both dressed in Tom Ford, naturellement!

Now for the not so good.

There seemed to be a theme that those who looked hot at the Golden Globes somehow looked the opposite at the SAGs.

Penelope Cruz
How could Pene have got it so wrong? While she looked beautiful from the waist up (as per), it was the length of her black dress designed by L'Wren Scott that made her look so frumpy. The hem finished mid-calf and just was really unflattering. Quel domage!

Anna Paquin
Sure, we did indeed like Anna in the glitzy "Showgirls-chanelling Cher in Bob Mackie" dress she wore to the GGs last week but this time Anna got it all wrong. At the SAGs she looked like a cheap Las Vegas hooker with the obligatory straw-like hair to boot in a printed mini dress with a plunging neckline designed by Alexander McQueen. Quel horreur!

Sigourney Weaver
Another one who got it right at the Globes yet lost in the styling department at the SAGs. The boring black Bottega Veneta dress was shapeless and did her figure no justice.

Helen Mirren
Helen also looked great at the GGs and yet looked really old and frumpy in a dress that looked like it was made out of silvery curtains from the '80s.

Drew Barrymore
While we loved the amazing blue colour of Drew's dress designed by Monique L'Huiller but it was all a bit frou-frou on Drew for us. The bouffant hair and the dress was way too "twee" and she looked like on she belonged on top of a toilet brush.

Repeat Offenders: The BAD

Tina Fey
Tina never can get it right! While we love her, the choice of a short '80s-looking satin frock by Salvatore Ferragamo was the wrong choice. The purple colour was lovely on her though!

Julia Dreyfuss
To be fair, Style Blog understood the concept of the black mesh Dolce & Gabbana dress that Julia wore at the SAGs. Sadly, we don't think Julia is cool enough to pull it off. Also, while a centre-part hairstyle is very fashion-forward, it looked horrendous on Julia and made her severe and much older than she actually is.

Jane Krakowski
We're sure the Alberta Ferretti dress was very expensive, but regardless of this, Jane still made it look cheap and tacky. Sorry Jane, maybe it's the botox overload that we just can't get past?

Christina Hendricks
Christina was queen of the drag impersonators at the Golden Globes and at the SAGs looked a lot better in red Caroline Herrera gown. Still there was the OTT factor as the shape was overly sexual and channelling Jessica Rabbit again, Christina once again ended up looking more like a man in a dress than a woman.

Final note: The best impersonation of a lollipop went to Kyra Sedgwick .

Has Ana (as in anorexia) become a friend Kyra? Please eat something immediately! Skin and bone is never a good look, honey!

Award season is on hold for a while as we wait with baited breath for the next biggie, the Baftas (held around the later end of February)... we're looking forward to them!
