Statuesque Petra is a true fashion plate and honestly has the figure of a model. Just about anything we pop on Petra seems to work. We love it!
Petra loves and supports great Kiwi fashion with her favourite designers being Kate Sylvester, Helen Cherry/Workshop and Zambesi to name but a few.
This week we dressed Petra in some of Kate Sylvester's latest winter collection with a bit of Helen Cherry thrown in for good measure!
Here's a breakdown of all the gorgeous looks we saw Petra wearing this week on Breakfast:
Monday
Monday's look started off with a splash of colour with Petra
wearing a bright blue Kate Sylvester dress. This particular dress
is called the "Bella" dress and for good reason too! The amazing
blue tone made Petra "pop" on screen. This means that she stood out
(but in a good way!)
We love to dress our TV folk in strong, bright colours! If the blue dress looks a tad familiar, it's because this is the same dress that Petra wore on the day of Kate and Wills wedding. Petra was over in London last April covering all the celebrations for the Breakfast show.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, Petra was down in Christchurch covering Monday
afternoon's earthquake for the Breakfast show. Going to air live at
6:30am outside in Christchurch the temperature was freezing!
We dressed Petra in a grey wool "Lezark" trench coat from Helen Cherry's latest collection.
Petra looked professional and yet super stylish at the same time. Even better, Petra kept warm in the beautiful garment.
Wednesday
Wednesday's show saw Petra in a printed georgette "Velora" dress
once again by Kate Sylvester. The muted pattern of the dress is
subtle and the v-neckline very flattering on Petra. The pleated
skirt gives the dress a certain naïve charm to it. While the
look is quite girly, it's still high fashion at the same time.
Thursday
Colour was back again for Thursday's show with Petra wearing a
beautiful crimson-hued Sylvester dress called the Dobby Swathed
Dress.
The three-quarter length sleeves keep this design young and very wearable.
Friday
Ah, TGIF! (Thank God It's Friday!)
Petra's Friday look was a Sylvester dress aptly called the Crazy Dress. The scooped neckline and drawstring tie make it simple enough, it's just the busy floral pattern that makes it "crazy"!
We actually quite like to have a slightly whimsical and whacky look on Fridays and so this dress was a bit of fun! Usually we try to stay away from crazy patterns as they can do mad things on screen to viewers eyes.
We think that we were able to get away with this choice though and it's always great to have a talking point!
Petra lives and breathes New Zealand fashion 100% so keep tuned to see what she's going to be wearing next on the show!
