Getting to dress all our fabulous presenters here at TVNZ really is a dream job come true. Naturally, it's always made a tad more challenging when our female presenters become pregnant.

Last year, Sunday presenter Miriama Kamo, 20/20 host Sonya Wilson and our stunning weathergirl Renee Wright all had beautiful babies.

Our gorgeous ladies were positively radiant in their pregnancies and showed us all a thing or two about how to master "maternity glam".

Being pregnant doesn't mean that you have to throw being stylish out the window. On the contrary, it can be a time to get your glam on more than ever.

The tricky stage is always the first trimester when there's not that much bump to be seen. It's much easier to dress a fully defined bump and this is when it becomes the ultimate accessory.

Rather than hide the bump, celebrate it in its fullest and most fabulous glory. Don't hide a pregnant body in baggy, loose and unflattering clothing. Instead opt for fitted and more figure hugging looks.

If you do wear a floaty top, make sure it doesn't flare out like a tent and end up making you look much bigger than you actually are. Surprisingly enough, you still actually have shape when you are pregnant so focus on this. Its best to wear slim cut maternity pants or stretchy leggings to counteract with a floaty top.

As a pregnant woman's bust increases, "v" and wide scooped necklines are much more flattering than high necklines.

"Baby doll" inspired dresses can be great but always make sure that they actually suit you.

Design wise, generally an empire line is the best cut for pregnant women's dresses and tops.

Short little dresses are fine if you have a great set of pins but during pregnancy, legs and ankles get swollen so be aware of this.

During pregnancy, maxi dresses become a gals best friend. The length elongates the body and they just look great on. Opt for fabrics that have a lot of stretch in them. Dress them up with a little structured jacket for night and you're good to go.

While black can be slimming on, colour always looks the most fabulous on pregnant women who have that beautiful glow of pregnancy about them.

Being a huge fan of sky-high heels (and it's very hard to say this) but it really is best to just stick to the flats. There are some super cute ones out there and especially when you are in the last trimester of your pregnancy, youre not going to want to wear anything else but.

Of course, if there's a special occasion, get those heels out but in all reality, you're not going to last long in them. Also, you don't want to risk falling over as you tend to lose your sense of balance when you are pregnant.

Once you have some basic maternity looks sorted, stock up on some amazing accessories: sunglasses, bags and jewellery and glam up your look.

No matter how cumbersome and large you may feel and get, you're always going to look great if you make the effort.

For all you pregnant ladies out there, enjoy your beautiful pregnant body and get your maternity glam on.

See you all next week!
