Every year, the biggest music awards in the world, the Grammys, never fails to provide us with all sorts of weird and wonderful looks from our beloved music stars.

Musicians revel in their eccentricity and can get away with whacked-out, outrageous ensembles.

Or can they?

Style Blog checks out the good, the bad and the downright ugly!

Lady Gaga
What can we say? She's mad but we love her for always pushing the boundaries. Her red-carpet look was by Armani Prive, but it looked like it was designed by a martian on crack with a penchant for the Jetsons. Crazy shoes too, opting for a be-spangled, cloven, clog-like number. The Gaga had five costume changes throughout the night (all Armani Prive) just to keep us fully entertained.

Taylor Swift
Taylor looked very elegant in a Kaufman Franco dress but it was a look that was way too mature for her. She's still a teenager for heaven's sake!

Kings of Leon
All suited up thanks to Dior Homme and Burberry and yet they didn't ooze a skerrick of sex appeal. The lads are the biggest rock and roll band in the world and they looked so prim and proper, it was ridiculous. We wanted to see them looking like the sexy boys they should be. Where was Sex On Fire?

Beyonce
We didn't understand Beyonce's red-carpet look by Stephane Rolland. It made her look quite beefy and it was very unflattering on her. We still can't get over the days when Beyonce and the other Destiny's Child members wore hideous matching ensembles whipped up on the Jenome by Beyonce's Mum's label: The House of Dereon. We much preferred her in her on-stage outfit in naughty black leather Versace!

Fergie
At least Fergie looked the part in a super short, sexy, electric blue mini dress (thanks to Emillio Pucci). We loved the colour! We liked her accessory du jour a lot also - hubby Josh Duhammel.

Jennifer Hudson
J Hud looked immaculate sporting a black frock from Victoria Beckham's collection. She looked elegant and yet seriously sexy at the same time.

Pink
Pink's performance outfit with the hooded number was more than tres reminiscent of the look Kylie Minogue donned in her Can't Get You Outta My Head video. This hooded look was quickly removed to reveal a skimpy bodysuit that looked like it was concocted out of bejewelled masking tape. Was she auditioning for a part in Cirque du Soleil?

Rhianna
Dressed in an Elizabethan type frock by Elie Saab, she looked like an over-trussed chicken.

Miley Cyrus
We liked Miley's Herve Leger look. This really is one hot dress and Miley definitely has a great figure to show it off. Miley's look was bang on the money for the Grammys.

Ke$ha
Ke$ha looked like a man dressed up as Tina Turner circa "Nutbush City" era with hideous stage make up on. Not a good look.

Mary J Blige
Looking like you wouldn't want to mess with her in a hot pink Gucci number, Mary screams attitude but also looks pretty scary! Great colour though.

Keri Hilson
Keri looked beautiful in the strapless nude fishtailed dress designed by Dolce & Gabbana but it was all a bit boring and safe for the Grammys.

Katy Perry
We really didn't like the Zac Posen dress Katy wore, it was just wrong.

J.Lo
Jenny from the block looked seriously slutty in her Versace dress. We loved the shoes (Christian Louboutin) and the jewellery (Lorraine Schwartz) but the make up was sooo OTT (even by our standards)! Her lashes were drag to the point the poor gal was barely able to open her eyes!

Adam Lambert
What is with that hair? He looks like Pink's doppelganger. Drag Kings are us? His outfit was very Elton John meets David Furnish (at least Adam had a better toupee than Elton!) We did think Adam is too young for this look but we liked his outfit at least.

Heidi Klum
Heidi looked hot. She looked sexy and rock and roll and simply her drop-dead-gorgeous self. Seal's one lucky boy!

Jay-Z
Jay-Z looked perfect in Tom Ford. This is what a man should look like in black-tie. Smoking hot!
