The TVNZ style team's biggest night of nights, the Qantas Film & Television Awards, are on this Saturday night and that means it's time for us to up the glam factor!
This is our favourite time of the year when we get to dress all our favourite TVNZ stars in glamorous red-carpet looks. We can't wait!
These looks don't just happen overnight - it all takes a lot of prep work beforehand.
Make Up & Hair
Our hair and make up team at TVNZ are the best in the biz!
For the Qantas Awards, we get inspiration from all over, but predominantly from Hollywood stars. We have designed the best and most suitable make up and hair looks for our female presenters attending the awards night (such as Pippa Wetzell and Wendy Petrie to name a few), making sure each look is integral to the glam frocks they will be donning on the night.
Let's just say the lashes are out and ready!
Shoes
Finding the perfect shoe for an outfit is so important. A good shoe can either be the icing on the cake of a look - or a complete downfall.
In Style Blog's camp, we prefer the higher the better, and strappy always works for us. When in doubt, go for a metallic like a gold, bronze or silver.
Accessories
From beautiful jewellery to gorgeous bags, our favourite one-stop-shop for accessories is always the amazing treasure trove of vintage joy known as "Passionata". Shannon Chester's shop in Birkenhead, Auckland is a magpie's delight of sparkly, girly heaven and if you are a fan of vintage there is no need to look any further.
