Last week we shared with you our love of our favourite one-stop shop across the ditch, David Jones. This week our focus on our number one department store in Godzone, aptly named The Department Store.
The Department Store opened five months ago and was sprung from the highly creative minds of Karen Walker, Stephen Marr and Dan Gosling.
Located in sunny Takapuna, the store is but a hop, skip and a jump from the beach. Finally, Auckland's North Shore is hip and cool again!
We love The Department Store because it has really amazing, unique products, easily setting it apart from other stores.
High on the list of covetable items, there is, of course, a wonderful range of Karen Walker's clothes, jewellery, accessories and her affordable "Hi There!" range.

There's also a great of range of fabulous books and quirky homeware products that would make that perfect gift for those hard-to-buy-for people.

Blackbox has a great range of very cool pieces for men and women, carrying labels such as Stolen Girlfriends Club, Therese Rawthorne, Ellery, Claude Maus, Ksubi and Chronicles of Never by the very cute ex-Tsubi lad, Gareth Moody.

For make up requirements, there is ID Minerals and Lucy & the Powder Room. And if you need your hair done, head straight up to the top floor of The Department Store and leave yourself in the expert hairdressing hands at Stephen Marr.
Most excitingly though, come mid-April, The Department Store will be the first place in New Zealand to sell TopShop.
TopShop is THE chainstore in the UK. It offers affordable fashion that is always right on trend. The label continues to be innovative by constantly collaborating with top designers who create unique collections only available in TopShop.
