The cast and crew of The Lovely Bones movie are partying into the night after the Wellington red carpet premiere of the film.
Director Peter Jackson was the hit of the gala do earlier which saw fans shouting for his attention.
Jackson spent longer than any of the cast talking to fans who had been waiting since around 4.00pm to catch a glimpse of the movie mogul.
Along with New Zealand actresses Rose McIver and Carolyn Dando, and film's international stars Saoirse Ronan and Susan Sarandon were also on the red carpet.
Sarandon opted to go barefoot in homage to the Kiwi film director.
Jackson says it's always special for him to bring his films back to Wellington for a premiere. He's also happy the weather held out and nobody had to wait in the rain.
