Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi of the hit reality television show Jersey Shore is in labour with her first child, according to reports.

The pint-sized television star announced her pregnancy and her engagement to boyfriend Jionni LaValle in March.

The 24-year-old Chilean-born Snooki's hard-partying antics on Jersey Shore were a major factor in making it a hit show.

As a result, she has become one of television's most well-known reality stars. She authored a novel and was given a spinoff show with her Jersey Shore co-star Jennifer Jwoww Farley.
