Director Sir Peter Jackson has released behind-the-scenes footage from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey today.
Jackson posted the eighth video blog in the series on his Facebook page this morning.
"I know that not everybody gets to Comic Con, so I thought I'd bring a little bit of Comic Con to you! Here's some of what I saw in San Diego, and what those in Hall H got to see of The Hobbit!," Jackson posted.
The moving 15-minute behind-the-scenes video covers the last five days of shooting.
It features interviews with the cast and crew, and footage which shows the huge scale of the set and costume creation.
Jackson said the crew puts up the "most incredible sets".
"You walk in the night before and it's not finished and you think 'my God how are we ever going to be here tomorrow filming' and yet you walk in at 8am the next morning and it's ready to go."
The team also makes farewell speeches in the video blog.
Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo, said he will "miss the camaraderie" with the cast and crew.
"You know we've spent an awful long time together, there's like 12 or 13 of us that have been in a mini-army," Freeman said.
Jackson thanks the cast and crew in his final speech.
"I just want to say thank you to everybody an incredible cast, an incredible crew, it seems like a lifetime ago that I had to do this speech at the beginning of the shoot, oh God it was a long time ago.
"As a director it can be kind of a lonely job you know at times you feel like you're by yourself trying to solve problems, but then everybody steps in and suddenly I realise I have this incredible support, and all of you guys have got my back and are behind me and for that I am incredibly grateful."
Jackson then addresses his fans saying it has been "a terrific atmosphere shooting this movie".
"And I hope the blogs have in some way given you all a chance to share in that and experience it for yourselves."
The behind the scenes footage finishes with champagne flowing and cheers.
More than 12,700 fans have already liked the video.
The footage was first shown at Comic Con to deafening screams from fans.
"I'm really happy it was received in such a great way," Jackson said.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is the first of a two-part prequel adapted by director Jackson from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit," the prelude to his epic fantasy trilogy Lord Of The Rings.
