Sheen's ex Brooke Mueller out of rehab

Published: 9:41PM Saturday July 02, 2011 Source: BANG Showbiz

Brooke Mueller has finished rehab.

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife - who has endured a long battle with drug and alcohol abuse - has completed a 45 day treatment programme at an unnamed facility and is said to be doing "amazing".

A source told Radaronline.com: "Brooke is just taking it a day at a time. She has been down this road before and she knows what she has to do.

"Brooke needs to continue to play an active role in her sobriety. When she goes to her AA meetings everyday and talks regularly with her sponsor, she does amazing."

The actress has completed an outpatient programme which allowed her to spend eight hours a day with her sons by Charlie, two year old twins Bob and Max, and now she will be spending every day with them, and every other weekend.

Mueller is said to have been spurred to getting properly sober by seeing how she was when filmed for her friend Paris Hilton's reality show, The World According to Paris.

The source added: "Brooke saw what she looked and sounded like when she was under the influence.

"She entered rehab during filming of the show and she couldn't believe the difference she was able to see in herself when she wasn't using drugs."

Mueller and Sheen married in 2008, but finally split in April 2010 after their separate problems with drugs and lifestyle choices got in their way.

The couple's divorce was finalised in May this year and they agreed a joint custody deal for their twins last month, which was not filed in court in order to keep the terms completely confidential.
