Sharon Osbourne says footage will help diagnose Kelly's illness

Published: 7:47PM Tuesday March 12, 2013 Source: BANG Showbiz

Sharon Osbourne feels "blessed" that Kelly Osbourne had her seizure while filming her TV show.

The 28-year-old presenter was rushed to hospital following the health scare on the set of Fashion Police last week but her mother Sharon believes having footage of the incident will help doctors diagnose her illness.

Speaking on The Talk she said: "We were very blessed that, in a way, that Kelly, when she had her seizure, she had while she was filming, so it was filmed. We needed that to show the neurologist so they could see what was happening."

While doctors are puzzled by Kelly's symptoms, Sharon says her daughter is feeling good.

She said: "Kelly is doing fine and has asked me to thank everybody who sends their love to her and have reached out to her. So many people.

"And we all believe in the power of positive thinking and sending good vibes. We strongly believe in it, and the Osbournes, we want to thank everyone. And I thank her doctors and I thank everyone at Cedars.

"And she's on medication. She's fine, nobody knows why she had it. ...can't figure out a reason why, but she is fine and naughty."

Kelly's representative told E! News: "Kelly is still in the hospital under observation as a precautionary measure. She is in good spirits and looking forward to getting back to her busy schedule."

Kelly had a 30 second seizure while filming the show last week and was helped by a medical emergency worker who was in the audience and rushed to her aid. The star was then taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and medics are said to be undertaking tests to establish whether she is suffering from epilepsy.

However, her representative insisted: "There is absolutely no confirmed diagnosis regarding Kelly's condition at this time. She is under a doctor's care and they are continuing to run tests. Kelly is fine and thanks everyone for their continued support."

The TV star previously thanked fans for their support following the scary incident, writing on Twitter: "Thank U all 4 UR beautiful well wishes yes I did have a seizure they are just trying to figure out why?"
