Negotiations for another Bruce Springsteen concert are underway after tickets to The Boss' Auckland show sold out in under an hour this morning.
Around 40,000 tickets were snapped up for Springsteen's March 2014 show at Mt Smart stadium when they went on sale today at 9am.
The Frontier Touring Company, who is promoting the concerts, has since confirmed that another tour date is being negotiated.
Christchurch fans of the rocker have been campaigning for their own Bruce Springsteen concert, so they do not have to cough up for flights and accommodation to see him play in Auckland.
A Facebook page dedicated to the cause, which has 9300 likes, reads: "Flights to Auckland $500, Accommodation in Auckland $500, Tickets to the show $500, watching The Boss play live in CHCH PRICELESS!"
Supporters of the site say the 63-year-old's iconic song My City in Ruins has special significance for Christchurch and they would love to hear him play it for them.
A spokesperson for Springsteen says he is aware of the campaign but future performances make it hard for him to change his plans.
