He looks like his famous actor brother and Doug Pitt might just be on the first step to celebrity himself.
Brad Pitt's younger brother features in an advertisement for Virgin Mobile Australia, walking viewers through his rather mundane suburban life in Missouri.
The commercial has already gone viral, notching up more than 320,000 views since going live a week ago.
In the ad, 45-year old Doug pokes fun at his life compared to his brother's extravagant lifestyle.
"This is Doug Pitt, the second most famous Pitt in his family," a voiceover declares.
On a guided tour of his house, Doug proudly shows off his computer printer, saying, "This baby right here it scans, it prints, it faxes 1200dpi black and white, I'm gonna upgrade to the color but for now this baby gets it done".
Pitt also makes lasagna, shows off his stereo system and shoots hoops in his driveway, but misses.
The voiceover reveals, "While his brother lives the life of a Hollywood A-lister, Doug's life is a little different".
Walking by his family van in his driveway, Doug says, "I like this car, it's sporty, it's stylish!"
The voiceover adds, "Virgin Mobile believe in a fair go for all and want to give Doug a taste of his brother's lifestyle, starting with his first ever celebrity endorsement".
Doug Pitt is actually a successful businessman, having set up a local computer service company, ServiceWorld.
ONE News Australia correspondent Steve Marshall said told TV ONE's Breakfast today that Doug "does everything the opposite to what Brad would do".
"Everything that Brad touches turns to gold, not so with Brad. It's done wonderfully in terms of its viral impact and it's had a huge amount of views on YouTube."
