British comedian and actor Russell Brand has announced that he will make a one-off performance of his stand-up routine in Auckland.
Famous for his controversial comments, womanising ways and short-lived marriage to pop star Katy Perry, Brand will perform his stand-up show I am a Walrus at Vector Arena on November 28.
Beginning his career as a stand-up comedian, Brand shot to fame after appearing as Aldous Snow in the Hollywood comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Brand, 37, has also written two bestselling books, and had success as a host for MTV's music awards.
He recently wrapped production on Diablo Cody's directorial debut in Mandate Pictures' untitled film, previously titled Lamb Of God.
In July, Brand was ordered to undertake 20 hours of community service for throwing a photographer's iPhone through a window in new Orleans.
Brand has most recently been linked to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Los Angeles socialite Isabella Brewster.
Tickets for Brand's show go on sale at 9am on September 25 from Ticketmaster.
