Ronan Keating to tour with special guest

Published: 9:55AM Wednesday November 21, 2012 Source: ONE News

Ronan Keating will return to New Zealand in February 2013 to play a concert with fellow Irish pop star Brian McFadden.

Formerly members of rival boy bands Boyzone and Westlife, Keating and McFadden are nowadays close friends.

"I can't wait to play songs from my new album Fires to my Kiwi fans," Keating said, "and to go on tour with one of my best mates is just a bonus."

Keating, who played Wellington last summer, has sold more than 25 million records worldwide as a solo artist, as well as 30 million records as the frontman of Boyzone.

McFadden became a household name as a member of Westlife and more recently has been a judge on Australia's Got Talent.

Since leaving Westlife in 2004, McFadden has carrved out a successful solo career and has just released brand-new album The Irish Connection, which features duets with artists including Keating.

"I can't wait to play some new songs, some old songs and some classic favourites in New Zealand," said McFadden, who recently ended a high-profile relationship with Aussie singer Delta Goodrem.

Ronan Keating and Brian McFadden will play Trusts Stadium Arena in Auckland on February 27. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Tuesday November 27 with Eventfinder.co.nz .
