Robert Pattinson isn't brave enough to be romantic.

The 'Twilight' actor - who is rumoured to have an on/off relationship with his co-star Kristin Stewart - says he struggles to impress women he has a crush on because he is too nervous about making a loving gesture.

The 23-year-old heartthrob said: "I can't think of a single romantic thing that I've ever done.

"I would never serenade someone to be romantic - you have to have so much balls to do that.

"I put a flower in someone's locker when I was 15 years old, this girl called Maria. She thought that it was someone else and the other guy claimed it as well, which is great."

Despite his hopeless ways, the actor says he still has an appreciation for romance, insisting it isn't only girls who like it.

He said: "It's like saying guys can't appreciate romance. I've watched Titanic and I didn't think, 'Oh, this is a girl's film'."

The actor also admitted he has an obsessive streak - and refuses to take advice from anyone.

He told America's People magazine: "I have very, very specific ideas about how I want to do my work and how I want to be perceived, to the point of ridiculousness sometimes.

"I don't listen to anyone else. That's why I don't have a publicist - I can't stand it if someone's trying to tell me to do something which might be a mistake."

I ahve to say that Jacob is who I would go with because of his looks but he hasn't got the personality that Edward has. If I were Bella and Jacob had the personality of Edward you would have the best guy in the world!!

Everyone is entitled to voice their own views. Just as everyone else must accept another person's views. I personally think Twilight is pretty cool. I just don't go and talk about it to everyone. There is a difference between liking something and being over-the-top fanatical about something. But Stephanie Meyer's world of Twilight is a nice little escape. I believe she has done well.

The comments at the bottom of this article confirm what she is talking about. You're all just talking about Twilight, no wonder she is sick of hearing about it! The poor girl has done so many other movies, my favourite ones being Panic Room and Speak. I haven't seen Adventureland yet but I'll definately be more interested in seeing that than any more Twilight sequels. Its a shame that young actresses who appear in these teen fad films end up with it taking over their lives.
