Reservoir Hill wins international award

TVNZ's Reservoir Hill web series has won a Gold World Medal at the prestigious New York Festival's International Television and Film Awards.

The interactive teen drama, which screens on TVNZ Ondemand , follows the life of teenager Beth Connolly and explores issues faced by teens.

Co-producer/directors David Stubbs and Thomas Robins said they were thrilled the show is going from success to success.

"All the hard work from our wonderful team here in Wellington is hugely appreciated by us and we hope they are all as proud as we are of Reservoir Hill. Being recognised on the world stage again is just superb," Stubbs said.

The first series won an Emmy Award last tear, while the second series has been nominated for another award at this year's awards.

The programme, created by Wellington-based TV production company KHF Media, also won the 2010 Qantas Award for the Best Children's/Youth Programme.
