Reservoir Hill, Go Girls among Qantas Award nominees

The nominees are out for the Qantas Film and TV Awards with a number of nods for TVNZ shows, including the chance to take home more silverware for Reservoir Hill.

Emmy award winning online drama Reservoir Hill has been nominated in two categories. Series creators David Stubbs & Thomas Robins have been nominated for Best Director in a Drama/Comedy and the show ahs received a nod for Best Children's/Youth programme.

The second series of Reservoir Hill will screen on TVNZ Ondemand in spring.

The ladies from TV2's drama The Cult have taken the lion's share of the nominations in the acting categories with Danielle Cormack and Kate Elliot up against each other and Outrageous Fortune's Siobhan Marshall in the Best Actress category.  Their castmates Lisa Chappell and Chelsie Preston Crayford are nominated in the Best Supporting Actress award.

Go Girls' Matt Whelan has been nominated alongside Grant Bowler from Outrageous Fortune and Scott Wills from The Cult in the Best Supporting Actor category. The Best Actor category is down to Kirk Torrance from Outrageous, Latham Gaines from The Cult and George Henare from Kaitangata Twitch.

Go Girls has also recieved a nods for Best Script Drama/Comedy Programme and Best Director Drama/Comedy Programme.

It's an all TVNZ affair in the reality categories with hit shows The Apprentice New Zealand, MasterChef New Zealand  and One Land in the Constructed Reality category, while long standing TV ONE favourite Intrepid Journeys is up against Neighbours At War and Piha Rescue .

TV3 has had a similar sweep in the Best Comedy category with 7 Days, The Jaquie Brown Diaries and Pulp Sport vying for the award.
