A private funeral for actress Farrah Fawcett will be held at the Catholic cathedral of Los Angeles on Wednesday, church officials said.

The service for the former Charlie's Angels actress will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 4pm LA time.

Fawcett died on Thursday evening following a long battle with cancer.

She had one son, Redmond, now aged 24, with Ryan O'Neal.
