Prince William has joined Sir Peter Jackson and a host of dwarves, hobbits and wizards in London for the green carpet Royal gala screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
The cast of The Hobbit including Cate Blanchett, Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman, as well as several dwarves played by Kiwi actors such as Mark Hadlow and Jed Brophy, all walked a special green carpet for the film's gala screening in London's Leicester Square.
Director and producer Sir Peter attended with his daughter Katie and donned a tuxedo and bow tie for the event.
Prince William cut a lonely figure without his wife Catherine who is in the early stages of pregnancy and confined to her home with extreme morning sickness.
