Victoria Beckham has reportedly offered Cheryl Cole a place to stay as she copes with the latest stories to rock her marriage.

The former Spice Girl, who lives in Los Angeles with her soccer star husband David and their sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, is said to have called the Girls Aloud beauty to console her after raunchy photos of her footballer husband Ashley ended up sent to a glamour model's mobile phone.

"Victoria just wants to make sure Cheryl is OK. The offer's there - and you can't get a more relaxing and private environment than Vic's Los Angeles home," a source has told The Sun.

"If Cheryl needs some time to think and reflect, the Beckhams' is the place to go."

Cole, who became friendly with Victoria during the 2006 World Cup when both their husbands played for England, is reportedly furious after the explicit photos were sent to single mother-of-two Sonia Wild in June 2008, from Ashley's unregistered pay-as-you-go mobile phone.

However, the Chelsea star insists he did not send them and instead lent his phone to a friend, who gave it to another pal, who then sent the raunchy images.

"I gave a phone away that still had stuff in its memory. I thought I had deleted it," he says.

"I can't believe I did it and would laugh if my foot did not hurt so much."

Friends say the news is a huge blow to Cheryl Cole as the couple have been rebuilding the trust in their relationship following claims in 2008 he had cheated on her with a hairdresser.

A spokesperson for the couple insists everything is fine.
